What Is A Tea Dance?
Once called "The Dansant" (French for "dancing tea) was a dance held in the summer or autumn in the countryside. The function grew out of the afternoon tea tradition.
Tea dances are a common cultural reference in early 20th-century British and American fiction as a staple of genteel society. The term has been broadened in the United States to refer to any casual afternoon dance event.

Once a year we put on a great show right in our studio featuring our students and teachers. Open to the public. It's always a fun night when and a good opportunity to meet others.
Students can invite their friends and family to see what they have been learning. Also it's a great introduction to the Academy for anyone who is interested in starting lessons.
